Shrine materials AKA worship materials should be composed of matter with high Aeonic index. The higher the better, and more effective the shrine and worship will be. It is possible to sense an object's/material's Aeonic index through ritual meditation. Material directly sourced from Holy sites are usually most desireable, but this isn't always obtainable. Here is a helpful list of high Aeonic index objects and materials that aren't too hard to find:
The more felsic a mineral or rock the better, so Quartz, Muscovite Mica, and the various Feldspars (not Feldspathoids) are good choices. Chalcedonies and other exotic silca polymorphs work incredibly well, and tend to have the highest resonancies of the silcate minerals. Note that whilst some Plagioclase Feldpars (essentially just Albite) will suffice for most ritual use, advanced rituals should use only Potassic Felspars, with Orthoclase being most preferable. Carbonates and other biogenically related minerals are generally even better. I do not care to list all the Archonically inclined minerals here, except to mention that the more mafic a mineral is, often the higher it is on the Archonic index. One major mineral of note to avoid are Diamonds. They are among the highest Archonically indexed minerals on the physical plane. Physical contact with Diamonds can spiritually mark your aura for days so be careful. For Baphometic rituals, Garnet may be used under caution.
The Aeonic index of rocks is a more complicated subject due to the mixing of minerals with differing indexes. Rocks such as limestones and quartzites avoid this issue thankfully, so when rocks are called upon for ritual use, those tend to be the best bet. Other than the aforementioned rocks, S-type granites and highly felsic lavas can work. Meditation and rituals can often benefit from being directly above, on, or close to large deposits of Aeonically inclined rock deposits.
